Sustainival is bringing the world's first green carnival to Downtown Edmonton from June 8 to 11. Fan Park @ ICE District will host the family carnival complete with a full-size midway with over 45 rides and games, interactive displays, community vendors and a variety of educational activities highlighting the future of innovation—which is operated completely on renewable energy.
Sustainival is a sustainability education organization with a mission to educate the public on a wide range of topics focused on sustainability, including: the environment, arts and culture, social sustainability, and more. Sustainival is dedicated to the exploration of renewable technologies and their ability to power our world. In partnership with local educational organizations, such as the Future Energy Systems team, displays demonstrations and activations that engage attendees in the real-world applications of sustainable technologie.
Sustainival also features a site-wide scavenger hunt called the Green Beast Eco Challenge. This Amazing Race style game features clues hidden all around the midway that help participants solve a puzzle comprised of facts about the environment, renewable energy, energy use, and how Canadians use energy and resources in their daily lives.
The Green Marketplace is a space for conversations about the latest in sustainable products, innovations, campaigns, and getting involved in community initiatives. Attendees can browse a selection of local vendors selling sustainably made products from jewelry to gadgets, and can chat with local and national organizations and companies working to make their communities more sustainable.

Rock the District, Edmonton's Classic Rock Festival - a brand new, three-day live music festival is coming to Fan Park @ ICE District from Friday, June 16 to 18, 2023, in the heart of Downtown Edmonton.
Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, March 24 at 10:00 AM at ticketmaster.ca.
3-day festival passes will be available for $245.00, and single-day passes for $86.35.
The festival will feature an impressive lineup of classic rock legends performing the hits music lovers have enjoyed for decades. Fresh off the heels of a successful JUNO Awards and JUNO Week in Edmonton, all artists performing at Rock the District in 2023 are multi-JUNO award winners or nominees.
